There are two things we particularly love, skateboarding and backpacks that hold skateboards… who doesn’t love a backpack with skateboard straps? So if you’re looking for backpacks that hold skateboards, you’ve come to the right place. We share our seven favourite backpacks that hold skateboards to help you decide. These are mostly backpacks with skateboard straps except for the Reppo bag that fully encloses your skateboard.
What we look for:
- It’s got to be durable. You want it to handle anything you throw at it or that you throw it at. The front especially needs to take grip tape constantly rubbing against it.
- It needs to be up to the job. It’s got to carry what you need the way you want them carried.
- It’s got to fit your style. Even if you won’t admit you have a style. You’ve got to love it or you won’t want to keep using it.
All our featured backpacks that hold skateboards are durable and up to the job so all you need to decide is if they carry the way you want and if the style fits.
So, in no particular order:
If you skate then you know Indy trucks. Well, it turns out their bags aren’t too shabby either. The Independent Skate Pack Bag holds your skateboard in a vertical position, strapped to the front with two velcro straps. Inside the large main compartment is plenty of space for your gear and a good selection of mesh pockets to help you organise your things. In addition to the main compartment, you’ll find a separate compartment closer to your back, perfect for stashing a 13 inch laptop.
The straps are connected to a hip panel on the sides that helps keep the bag close to your back by wrapping around hips. There is also a water bottle holder on the side and additional zippered pockets to stash smaller items that you need to easily access. The front logo is woven on so it’s not going to rub off from your board grip.
Another offering from Indy is the Independent Container Backpack. This bag holds your skateboard in a vertical position strapped to the front with an adjustable strap.
